100 watts is only about 3dB louder, and you could make a standard overtone 22 watts if you swap out the tubes for 6V6's you just need to change the impedance selector on the amp because theres an impedance mismatch.

well i use a hiwatt rightnow with a 4x12 with greenbacks and it still is pretty bright. I have a very bright guitar. so i thought that the G12H's would go pretty nicely with my hiwatt and/or my OTS.

Hey Marin
i have a tech 21 boost D.L.A. and its amazing, its all analog and you can dial in a tube tape echo sound perfectly, it even can get a "warble" effect that tape echoes get from worn out components. or you can get a nice warm slap back. It has a tone knob to dial in the warmness or brightness of the delay and it also has a built in boost which is quite nice.

yea i was thinking about bypassing, how would i go about doing that?

its a leslie from songworks i belive. it comes with a speed controller. And its actually cheaper than a dunlop univibe and expression pedal.
293  Ceriatone / Overtone / two speaker cabs on: May 27, 2008, 07:05:27 PM
I was thinking of getting two speaker cabs for my overtone that will be arriving soon.
One will be an avatar 2x12 with Celestion G12H30 speakers(not heritage), the other will be a small 16lbs rotating speaker  cab with a 50 watt jensen 10'' speaker.

What do you guys think of this? will this work? both speaker cabs will be 8ohms.

Thanks
-JD

if you want more highs try using a vintage 30 as a companion
295  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Is there reverb on the Overtone? If not what do you suggest? on: May 16, 2008, 04:16:22 PM
i dont use reverb but i use a tech 21 analog delay and its awsome it sounds like a vintage tape echoe, you could actually set it so it does reverb
296  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Does the Overtone do Plexi? on: May 13, 2008, 11:42:27 PM
the OT gets plenty of gain, im throwing two tube screamers on top of the overdrive channel and it really cooks.
297  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Cab & Speakers on: May 13, 2008, 11:35:37 PM
How do you feel about the G12H30s?
im going to be using a 2x12 and i play single coil guitars if that helps
298  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: can you adjust the trimmers with the amp on? on: May 13, 2008, 11:09:31 PM
What if you hypotheticly wired the overdrive trimmer pot to and expression pedal so you could adjust it while you play? Would that be safe for the amp? Just curious.
