if you bass weakness is a problem in BOTH clean and OD - then look a the powersupply caps as you've suggested.
If it only happens in OD, then you should try the "Ayan Gil mod" from ampgarage.com. ....install a 10m resistor (input to ground)/ 47 nF (input to on the input of the OD just before the 220k resistor) this will trim off a little low end and make the tone less wobblely in OD

Turn down the overdrive trim pot to around 09:00 o'clock - looking towards the powersupply from the input side. That'll do it

I had the same issue with the input connection tap on the input volume potentiometer. I probably heated it too much/ many times, trying out various "bright" capacitors. The result was a loose connection/ temp error. I disassembled the potentiometer and used a pair of pliers to squeese the tap firmly to the carbon trace, assembled it all, soldering everything back and problem solved....but it really pusled me, untill I found the error.

Yep, it started doing the typical "valve implosion...spittin, fartin, and burpin" during rehearsal last night. It was sounding and performing sooo.. good, too. Kind of like a racecar just before it blows an engine. Oh well, back to the bench for a little TLC. It's strange. I've had my old Super Reverb, a Traynor ycv40wr and my Dlite have troubles in the past month or so....now the Overtone. Hmmmm..... No worries though. Do you live in an area with higher than normal current ? I live in Denmark Europe, where we tend to have fairly stable current around 230 VAC, but higher at night 235 and down to 218 in office hours. High sparks on the grid, might kill an amp. Normally, you don't have to care about this or even notice it, but time and again you might notice, that more than a couple of your light bulbs are failing within the same week...this phenomon is often due to over-current on the grid. What can you do about it ? Buy a 230 or 110 filter a connect it between your amp and the wall socket. OR BUY BETTER TUBES ;-)

No!! yours is 14:30 o'clock. but if you like the sound go for it! ;-) but try to turn the opposite direction below 09:00 and tell me what you think - Perhaps you need to turn the gain and volume a bit higher, but you will get a less buzzed/marshallisque sound and more clean compression in the OD - that way I hear more Robben Ford in my amp, but your taste might be different

Woaw just receive my overtone. My impression are a bit the same as Steven_nl's ones The clean channel is IMPRESSIVE, it can be thin, or warm, jazzy, bluesy, for those who wondering if you can have a fenderish bluesy tone with a strat, I YES and what a tone !!! And for those who wondering if you can approach the John Mayer's clean tone I say yes. I plugged my little Marshall Compressor one the clean Channel, and damn, I can't say that I have (with my cheap mexican strat) the Mayer/TwoRock's clean tone, but I'm REALLY REALLY close. As Steven_nl's said, the OD channel need some tweaking to find a good setting with single coils (I mainly play stratocaster), this week-end I will try different 12ax7 (I have several NOS in my other amp (mullar, RTF, Phillips, Miniwatt) (If someone can told me wich ones is the V1, V2 etc and what they do it would be helpfull). I will try different setting to attenuate the little big "aggressive" tone of the OD Channel. I think I will have a great week-end eheh Try to turn the od trim way down to 8:30-09:00 - its a much less agressive sound, just a tip

You need an update on the Kleinulator IT SHOULD BE RUN IN PARALLEL - not serial Your are ruining you fine DUMBLE tone through your processors AD/DA converters. You might argue that Robben Ford is using digital devices in serial Dumbleator loop, yes but the TC 2290, has an analog internal parallel mixer. The vast majority of digital processors will ruin your signal. Period

The Dumble diehards wil tell you, that ceramic are very important......
but, seriously the sound is not exactly passing through the cap, some of the top frequencies are passed to ground, so you should be fine with polyprop. However, if you ask a Dumble diehard they will tell you that ceramic is the way to go, but as always trust your own ears, if it sounds good you, then its fine, right?

I use 470 pf - lik two rock amps - is it worth the effort ?? hmmm, Its more a matte of taste, the snubbers dampen the highs in the OD channel. If you like sound as is, then dont change a thing. If think you got a bit too much top, then increase the snubbers. No matter what, it very small change, that you might not even hear !!
