I have just put a Tung Sol Reissue 12ax7 in the V1 position of my Plexi50 1987 Lead.  I know a great sound when I hear it and this little $11 tube just made my amp fantastic. (I got JJs in V2 & V3 and Power Tubes)  If you have used this Tung Sol 12ax7 in your V1 and then found a preamp tube that sounded better please tell me what it was, because if it is better than the Tung Sol I got to have it.

Regarding the discussion about the Tung Sol Reissue 12ax7 as the best V1 Preamp Tube, I've had excellent results with it in my setup. Its warm tones are truly remarkable. By the way, if anyone is also looking for reliable maintenance services islamabad for their audio equipment, feel free to ask for recommendations here.
