Title: Tung Sol Reissue 12ax7, best V1 Preamp Tube? Post by: trower71 on November 15, 2012, 04:27:11 AM I have just put a Tung Sol Reissue 12ax7 in the V1 position of my Plexi50 1987 Lead. I know a great sound when I hear it and this little $11 tube just made my amp fantastic. (I got JJs in V2 & V3 and Power Tubes) If you have used this Tung Sol 12ax7 in your V1 and then found a preamp tube that sounded better please tell me what it was, because if it is better than the Tung Sol I got to have it.
