looking at changing the tone stack a bit, what i realy want is a bit more of everything, more bass ,mids and top,
any suggestions of what to change and what values to use

I went through your previous posts and could not tell which amp you ended up building? HRM ? or not?
Did you end up using the Mojo trannies?
Using C-lator?
You say that you want more bass mid and treble, most usually only have problem with one of the three which makes me wonder if the amp is working properly to begin with.
Have you tried any D-style amps other than yours to compare?
I may not be the right person to answer your question but it will help to throw out a little more info about your amp!

actually it works quite well, its a hrm with hammond trannies and choke, i had a few issues with earthing etc an changed the sovteks i was using which were way to bright to some NOS EI ,s that has made a difference, it may just be me as i normally use a Traynor which has a very sensitve tonestack, what i would like to do is widen the responce on the controls on the clean side, OD is exactly as i like with the PAB engaged

So you want the clean channel tone stack on your HRM to be more responsive, but the OD is just where you want it?
If in clean mode you turn your bass to 10 are you still not getting enough bass?
Or is it that when you go from 1 to 10 you dont hear much change?
Those questions apply to the mid and treble also!

Like I said before I am not the person to answer your question, so hopefully someone with a HRM that has done some mods will chime in from here.
Just trying to help you get all the specifics out for someone to help you!

i think more than anything i would like to have a more pronouced response from the controls, the current setup is very subtle although there is a differnec at the extremes

What speakers are you using? I have an HRM 50 into a 2x12 with WGS ET-65 & Vet 30. When I first finished the build all had was a Celestion V30 to play through. If anything, I had to dial back the bass a bunch once I got the new cabinet and speakers. Mainly due to the ET-65.

I not questioning what you're hearing, but it suprises me, because I have plenty of range in the clean tone stack. And tons of touch sensitivity. I think more information about your specific setup is needed.

I should add, I'm using Tung Sol RI in the pre and TAD 6L6 WGC STR's in the power amp.

im using a pair of celestion lead 80,s at the moment, i did notice while having a bit of a noodle with various guitars that the single coils on my strat and tele sound alot better tahn the dragons in my prs on the clean the the opposite on the od, the dragons are smooth as cream on the od. I,ve found the mid boost gets me closer to where i want to be sound wise on the clean so probaly a bit more low mids and mid bass would be the answer
