Hi guys,

I listened again to this great recording of Fleetwood Mac playing at the 1970 Boston Tea Party. The sounds Peter Green and Danny Kirwan are getting out of their cranked Fender Silverface Dual Showman stacks is just to die for! 'Just' a 1959 Les Paul, a tube reverb and a Fender SF...

Here a vid of FM a year earlier... you can clearly see (and hear!) the Dual Showmans.

Now I heard this story that the clean channel of the Overtone Special amps are based upon a Fender Twin and I'm wondering if you can get close to that Fleetwood Mac sound when cranking the clean channel.

So... who did crank the clean channel of their Overtones? How does it sound compared to the overdrive channel? As those cranked Showmans soun nothing like the thick creamy Dumblesque overdrive...!

Thanks,
Emiel
