no significant changes from the last version of the amp, just more confidence and experience with it...
Aria Pro II 335 lawsuit into OTS, V30 2x12 cab made by Archimede Diffusori...

It sounds huge, maybe to much gain for me and there is something in the treble gain structure which I don't like. I think it's those V30... not my favorite speakers.

As the saying goes...."Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".  Personally Imassy's clips are my favourite OTS tones...there are many excellent clips on the forum and Youtube but I would love to hear some more 'in yer face rawk' tones which would show how versatile the OTS is. Just for the record, I am not a metal fan/head banger....in fact I'm probably older than most of the members on this forum  Wink

It was Imassy's clips on Nik's site that finally convinced me a couple of months ago that I should get an Overtone...... unfortunely since then the £ has divebombed against the dollar (down from approximately $2.10 to $1.55 to the £) and I am having second thoughts.....and it doesn't look as if the pound is going to recover for some time Sad

Of course, that's why this world is such a wonderful place, so many different flavors...

I know what you mean about the exchange rates.
I guess we're down again... I'm just glad I bought my OTS (and my Gibby) while we were up. Otherwise it would never happen.

Hi

Just finished up building a SSL9K preamp Clone Smiley, So I've made two quick recordings of my overtone amp.

Signal Chain... Fender Tele (US) --> Overtone Special (Bright:off, Deep:on, Rock, Volume:7, Treble: 6.5, Middle: 4.5, Bass: 4, Level: 6, Ratio: 6, Master: 1.1, Presence: 4.8 --> SM57 on speaker (eminence Cannabis Rex) --> SSL9k preamp --> ADA8000 --> RME HDSP9652 --> Cubase SX3 (delay and reverb added)

First off a couple of pictures of my newly build micpre Smiley

Both clips are one takes, It was more a test of the preamp than the overtone special Smiley

First clean is just some noodling with the clean channel

Next is just a quick jam to a backing track
