Just got my OTS 50 kit. I was emailing Nik too but I found this problem just moments ago and emailed him.

The small boards doesn't contain anything on their sockets. The "coil"(as labeled on layout) rectangular box thing aren't really listed on the parts list so apparently they should come installed on the little boards.

Maybe you can post a pic with the marked item. It's very hard to tell what exactly you're reffering to.
Edit: you mean the relays?

Yes they are indeed the relays. Those two smallest boards.. on upper right hand of this pic here. Beside the octal sockets.

The relays weren't pre-installed with my bluesmaster kit either. There should be 2 rectangular box like components with a pinout that'll fit those sockets in one of the bags of parts. Then it's just a matter of determining the correct orientation of insertion - I ended up doing a google search for the technical docs of the part - it was easy once I had that.

yeah Nik said it souldnt be on the sockets but I cant find it. I organized and checked parts right after opening the box. I will let Nik know.
