Yeah a minimix would solve your problem. You wouln't want to digitize your nice analog tone.
But. If you want to use the chorus of the M300 would you want it parallel?

I have a Dynacord Leslie in my rack. I want to use that in series. With the Rocktron
I can choose if I want to run a patch in parallel (Reverb, delay) or in series (Chorus, Flanger, tremelo etc)

Tnx bud! so you can use a digital interface to control a voltage regulated pot. Learning every day.

Is that the same as the G-Sharp?
I owned one. I kinda liked the reverbs, But 2 drawbacks:
- no analog dry signal (not a problem if you have a parallel Dumbleator)
- no way to set individual patch volumes. I like to use this feature for extra volume without altering the sound (I guess a volume pedal in the loop could do this but it's a hassle. Now I just switch patches (Rocktron)

I think Intteli and Xpression are the same in that respect.
My "Dumbleator" is not parallel. So the analog dry signal of the Rocktron is excelent.
you just mix in the wet digital signal.
Like I said. It suddenly struck me that you use the digital mixer interface of the Rocktron to set both the analog and the digital signal. (Not the Input or Output).

I would have thought that would be impossible.

Yeah, the Intellifex does run an internal parallel mixer, but I had been using the Fuchs before & I'm comfortable with it.  Plus, I hadn't really figured out how to tweak the Intellifex until last week (first rack for me), and figuring out that there was no global kill dry took me a bit.

I have a question about this. I have an Xpression and it has an internal mixer as well. So the dry signal stays analog. OK great this is what you want, But!!
How can you operate the internal mixer if there are no analog pot meters? or is it possible to operate internal analog pot meters using a digital interface? somehow that sounds strange.
sorry for posting this in the wrong forum.
81  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Clean Boost/ Volume Pedal in Fx Loop? on: July 26, 2010, 08:04:15 AM
I use my Rocktron Xpression to get a (clean) boost. I have 2 sets of patches. The second set is the same but the level is set higher. So with my midi controler I can switch to the louder patch. works well.
The Xpression has an internal mixer where the dry signal stays analog. Only the wet signal goes through an A/D converter.

Gefeliciteerd man! ziet er goed uit!

(Congrats man that looks nice)
83  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Levels with "dumblelator"and multi fx (thinking out loud) on: July 05, 2010, 03:01:52 PM
Could you clarify that a bit?
How would you go about comparing ?

Blind and deaf as well :-)

I think it was realy nice that you heard your talk. It gave me the feeling I got to know you a bit better. Stange maybe vut still. You aklwaus look very serous in your video's and now it turns our you are a realy fun guy :-)

Ha Marin
I allready posted on youtube but still, Maybe the a/b diffence isn';t quite as clear as it could be because it's spread over 2 video's?
I even found the added effects a bit unclear. Maybe you have used a different mic/setup in previous recordings?
Loved you humorous presentation though. And good to hear it wasn't you in that video.
I agreee with Erwin. I have my Return turned all the way up as well. Not sure which pot on your C-lator that is though. The names are different.

One thing that is clear for me. When you use a C-lator it takes away some brightness and perhaps even some pf the dynamics/liveliness of the sound? It does make it rounder and sweeter.

He didn't say what he was going to play. Maybe he likes to change things depending on his mood. The Bludo is made form him so I guess it will be " tuned" for him.

Only time will tell I guess.

Matt is certainly not fickle and whilst he got a good deal I imagine, he paid his onw hard earned for his EZG-50. The reason for the change was mostly for simplicity but also to get away from the comparisons with RF and the Dumble clone hype. I have to say I think he sounds better through his new rig, but its only a 1% thing, he always has had a phenomenal tone.

I agree. He just wanted a simple setup and the Dr Z sounds like his Super Reverb. No edorsement deal there. He had a Matchhless he realy likes in the van as well.
He did say he was picking up his Bludo (the one he has now is borrowed).
He also said that the good amps are all pretty good and it's only the last few % that's makes the difference.
89  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: John Mayer Tone with OTS? on: May 21, 2010, 08:32:59 AM
you won't find a clear answer here I'm afraid. These amps are very tempramental. Sometimes I even feel my OTS doesn't sound the same every day. The tubes you put in these amps also have a big impact on the sound. Plus people tweak them. I feel you need to get used to these amsp and stick with it. Sometimes it's a bit of a struggle but it's worth it.

I had an interesting talk with Matt Schofield last night. He's on tour and didn't bring his TwoRock. He wanted a simple setup. He said the Dumble style amps he owns are to sensitive to different voltages etc etc. Minor things have an influence on the sound.

There are some excelent examples on YouTube of people using different types of Ceriatones.

an example of a great sounding Bluesmaster

I went to the concert last night. Excelent bluesplayer.Great sound. My wife liked it as well  Grin.

I was expecting him to play a Bludo or TwoRock but he wasn't. He used a Dr Z. With a boost and an overdrive pedal. Sounded pretty good I must say.
I got a chance to talk to him after the show. Realy nice guy. Chatted a bit about amps. He was going over to the US on tour. Bludo is building him his own amp and he's picking it up when he's over there. He's using a Dr. Z because he wanted a simple setup and the Dr Z sounds like his Super Reverb.

Thanks again for the tip!
