Is that a Magic Mushroom?
Rig looks cool!

62  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Has anyone moved the internal gain pot to the outside? on: August 20, 2010, 02:13:27 PM
Yeah works well. I had it done. I think all you need is a pot and two wires :-)
63  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: OTS Tone with Kleinulator and Without Kleinulator on: August 19, 2010, 01:43:04 PM
Any advise on a brand? George L's are a bit stiff. I use them to connect my rack gear to the D'lator. but for connecting the D'lator to my amp I would prefer something a bit more flexibel. 60cm would be long enough.

Cheers guys

Steven

I have tried JJ's TAD's and Tung Sols. The Tung Sols are my Fav's. Tried the TAD out yesterday in my friends OTS. They sounded nice in V2. We didn't like them in V1 though.

Sovtek LPS in V3

But what is the best tube (most transparant) for de Dumblelator?
67  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: How do you handle humbuckers with the OTS on: August 14, 2010, 06:21:09 PM
Hi Emiel

Yeah Teles seem get along realy well with the OTS.

I changed the SD pickups to Fralin Unbuckers. That made quite a difference because they are not as dark. A friend of mine has a Gold Top and an OTS and it sounds pretty awesome. Marins Les Paul sounds good as well.
I have been turning up the presence to about 8 (thesre a sweet spot) this makes a big difference for adding some brightness. I have added a few bright switches to my amp but I don't use them at the moment. Turning up the Presence is still the best option for compensating the Kleinulator/dumblelator.

If you're in Holand you might considder getting one of Erwins Dumblelators. They sounds slightly better the the Klein (a bit more expensive but it's worth it).

Some guitars just work better with a perticular amps then others.

one more stupid tip. Play Loud. The a,p opens up and is a bit brigther when you turn it up a bit. Also the OD sounds sweeter.

where are you ? I'm in The Hague. Erwin in Dordrecht (he knows a lot about these amps)

g12-65 arem't that heavy. I have a 2x12 cab which is pretty light and I'm old (52) ;-)
69  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Presence for brightness on: August 11, 2010, 02:16:56 PM
I was wondering if any of you had more succes with improving the range of the Presence.
70  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Tube Recommendations on: August 08, 2010, 07:39:08 AM
What is every1 been using in their D-lators? I was thinking I'd invest in a few NOS tube's to try out.

Interesting subject
I have no idea what's in mine. Maybe Erwin can shed some light.
71  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Tube Recommendations on: August 06, 2010, 09:11:44 AM
Regarding recommendation of tubes in preamp

V1+V2 = JJ 83s,
V3       = Sovtek LPS 83,

V5+V6= TAD 6L6 small bottle (RCA Blackplate copy) or SED Winged C

Dito (exactly the same)
I don't care for Winged C though.

IMO the Ev's are steller for headroom.  The 65's are nice for low level OD, they do something weird @ high volumes ( then again I play really really loud. Its all Personal preference I guess.
I had the impression you use a EVM12L and a Celestion 12-65 in one cab? Do you like it?
73  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Tube Recommendations on: August 06, 2010, 07:13:57 AM
$ 18 is cheap. I looked around. Thery are difficult to find in Holland. I ordered a couple of Tung Sols. Not that expensive either and they say they are realy good.
74  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Tube Recommendations on: August 05, 2010, 12:05:28 PM

Here's what I got going on:

Mullard ECC83 R.I. (in V1)

Hope this helps some of you! Cheesy

Is that New Sensor?
75  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Any luck with a T.C. Electronics M300 or M-ONE? on: July 29, 2010, 12:55:54 PM
Hi

I realy like my Dynacord leslie. Mind you I had to have a true bypass installed. Talking about tone suck.......

It ramps up very nice as well (if you have a footswitch). Not nearly as good as your leslie though. That sounds awesome!
I also like the Hughes and Kettner but it's heavey and needs a special power adapter
