91  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: G12 - 65 on: October 03, 2011, 01:24:58 PM
i'm looking to get one of these for a FM 50 that goes into a 1 x 12" epi cab that is now 16 ohm.  I see that these speakers are now 15 ohm.

Can I just switch the 16 that is in there now for the 15 ohm G12 - 65. or is there some other mod I need to do?

Thanks,

Yes, you can indeed!

But I recommend to get 8 ohm ( 7ohm really) G12-65 and switch your amp’s out on 8 ohm. This way it will be bit louder with more highs.

hi to all. long time, no play. I was chatting to Nik the other day and I remembered that I had 2 of the best amps in the world sitting in my room doing nothing, so I decided to play something today. Don't know why, but this Santana flavour kept haunting me...! Smiley take care.

Hey, ma man!

Nice to see and hear you Marin.
I see your hand is fixed now and Wow, what a wonderful playing and tone.
Give us some more mate.

T.C. Electronics G Minor, Alesis F2 Expression pedal, Gator 4 rack case and long MIDI in/out/expression cables.

I’m selling a GATOR four unit shallow rack case specially modified for Dumble style (Ceriatone, Bludotone, Fuchs, etc…) amps to accommodate D – lator FX loop unit, T.C.Electronics G Major FX processor and any other rack device.

Together with case comes T.C. Electronics G Minor MIDI foot controller and modified Alesis F2 expression/volume pedal. Pedals are fixed on a metal base with eight rubber feet for stability (see photos). Alesis can accommodate two 9 volt batteries in parallel to power up the G Minor or you can use 9v DC power supply instead.

Pedals are MIDI interconnected and Alesis has built in 8 pin MIDI in/out plug. Same plug is fixed on the Gator case with attached MIDI and expression connectors for controlling the G Major FX unit (not included in this auction) which can also switch amp’s channels. The G Minor’s display shows FX unit’s operating functions including chromatic tuner.
I also include two (one spare) custom built 4 meter long MIDI IN/OUT/EXPRESSION control cables for pedals/case interconnection.

Case has attached four large rubber feet  to sit nicely on the speaker cabinet and on the top it has four plastic plates to accommodate an amplifiers rubber feet for it’s stability (see photos).

All units are in excellent working and cosmetic condition, that’s why I listed them as new. Cables are NEW.
G Minor’s original box and manual are included as well as an instructions for a system operation.

Case and pedals original cost was over £200, plus days of modifications and cable building.  So grab a bargain and get yourself a compact custom built system for your nice D style amp.

This auction is only for UK and EU. Payment by Pay Pal only.  UK buyer can collect the goods personally or I’ll post the Items. Postage charge depends on location and postal service.

Items are on Ebay.co.uk

95  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Glaswerks 2x12 4 or 16 ohms? on: September 27, 2011, 11:08:25 AM
the differences are quite neglgible. some folks say that running at 16 ohms is best, some say 8, some say 4. I have run at all three, and haven't notices any huge differences.

You definitely will notice a difference when you play on loud gig level.
4 ohm will be cleaner (more headroom), more hghs, punchier and louder.
16 ohm – darker, more compressed, not so loud.
It would be a good idea to install a switch on the cab which changes the cab resistance when needed.
96  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: HRM combo cab?? on: September 24, 2011, 05:40:12 PM
I had a 1x15 cab for my OTS’s and it was great sounding thing. Check out here photos and sound samples. http://www.guitarampcab.com/fatty.html

But I guess 1x15 combo with a nice neodymium speaker would be a very tonefull and practical for grab and go situations.

Funky Blues jam with Mr. Woody (Pete Wood).
Peter plays my 50w OTS with 2x12 closed back, front ported CCC cab with the G12 Centuries. I’m on Mr. John Edmond’s Mesa Mark 1.
Woody makes my amp sound really sweet, once again, 80% of the tone is in the player’s hands.
Hope you enjoy. Wink

101  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Verbrator: Just as good as kleinulator or C-lator? on: August 21, 2011, 06:29:58 PM
I suggest to by it direct from Andy Fuchs.
I’ve got one and it is just great loop device.

Good luck.

I made a modification for someone on his OTS. The amp is recorded with a G12-65 cab (without a dlator). No eq, no compression, reverb added afterwards.

Sounds good Erwin,
Especially after 0,51 min when boost comes ON. But it’s little bit topy for my taste.
Probably it’ll sound better with a smmoooouthing D-lator. (funny I’m saying that).
Or even better with my 12 cap rotary switch mod. Tongue Grin

Couple of new videos of Ceriatone OTS HRM 50 and FUCHS ODS 30.
Recorded at the Hot Hob Blues jam (Brentwood, UK).

My good friend Pete Wood plays relic strat, I’m on Gibson les Paul custom.
Nice singing by Jam host and friend Mr. John Edmonds on the Little Wing.

Cheers guys,

That one was built for good friend who used it with two heads connected separately to each  speaker.
I preferred it with nice stereo VHT 50-50 power amp and the stereo FXs.
