I found some plans for a amp cradle that I'm planning to build and thought I'd post it here.
It's in .pdf format just click the link and download it!

Enjoy!

I ordered my trannies today.

PT: Hammond T290DX (022798, 125P5D)

OT: Magnetic Components 40-18001

Choke: Hammond C194B (022699, 125C1A)

The PT and Choke came from Tubes and More (Antique Electronic Supply) which had FREE SHIPPING!
The OT came from Triode Electronics

I should be good to go, just waiting for UPS! Should be here Monday 1/8

Thanks to everyone that helped!

Does it matter if the PT that I want to use has 358v but the layout shows 345v?

Also, the layout shows 60v , but the PT I want has 53v?

For my 50w ceriatone OTS with 6L6 tubes, I've used a hammond power transformer (model: fe022798) and choke (model: fe125c1a) The transformer has all the windings needed e.g. 6.3V and 5V. The latter used for the relays in the amp.

So a PT with the 5v winding can be used to power the relays?

Has anyone used Heyboer trannies in their Overtone?

bluesfendermanblues,
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll check out those Hammond trannies. I'm also going to call Heyboer tomorrow and see what they can  do for me. I'm in Southeast Michigan and noticed they are located in Grand Haven which I thought was cool. I've heard good things about Heyboer so I may lean towards them if the price is right.

Thanks again -

Thanks JD,

I'm slightly confused now about ordering different trannies.
I sent Nik an email asking about it and apparently nobody has the same trannies except Mercury Magnetics? Something about an extra 6-0 tap is needed to power up the relays and most other companies don't have this.

I'm totally new at building amps so I have no idea what any of that means.

I'm not sure what or where to order trannies now. If anyone has suggestions as to what to order I'd appreciate it.

I'll call around tomorrow and maybe talk to someone.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi all,
I'll be ordering my 50w HRM BluesMaster tomorrow without the trannies.

I'd like to know what transformers you guys used other than Ceriatone or Mercury Magnetics.

What would be the best Fender transformers to buy?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

9. Installed the boards... warning !!! , do the main board first and then power board... I installed the power board first and man was I angry when I had to run those wires to presence pot or to power tubes  Angry
...anyway as you can see I still need to wire V1,V2,V3 sockets
 Wink

Hi mcinku,
I have a couple questions if you don't mind.
On the power board in this pic (step 9), can you tell me where those 3 black wires are going? The Layout says OT/CT/Choke but I'm not sure where that is.

1.) In your step #8 pic there is a black wire left over from the OT primaries, is that the wire for the OT on the power board?
2.) What is CT stand for and where is it located?
3.) Doesn't the choke have 2 wires? If one wire goes to the power board, where does the other choke wire go?

I hope these questions make sense...

Thanks!

Thanks everyone for clearing that up!

I thought it was just not used in the EU.

Thanks JD0x0!
73  Ceriatone / Overtone / 1n2 Ground switch on: January 25, 2010, 01:45:27 AM
Hi all,
I was wondering if you can tell me what this switch does. I noticed on some build pics this switch is not even used. Why is that?

Thanks!

Mcinku,
I just wanted to thank you for this thread.
Being a first-time amp builder who wants to build a Overtone, it's very encouraging to me!
I'll be ordering a HRM BM next week and will be using this thread to help me along.

Thanks again!
Bob

Hi Boldaslove,
I'm thinking about getting a Overtone kit. Did you say earlier that someone will build the Ceriatone Overtone? Are they here in the states? If so, can you give more info on who does the build?

Thanks,
Bob
