I dont think this is such a huge problem since most of the circuits are kinda simple. that said I've made a couple of mistakes before

this amp is alive and kicking. sounds like a cross between a TW express and a jmp50 with a vox cut control.
It sounded killer with SED C 6l6GCs today. I'm gonna install the ampgarage footswitch

you can pop in 6v6s if you rebias. kt88s are fine as long as they don't dray to much  current. should work.

57  British Style / JTM 45, 50 / Re: Taming bass in my Ceriatone jtm45 on: April 06, 2008, 02:38:20 PM
Hi,

New JTM45 user here... Wondering about taming the bass as well..

Just to confirm - the stock V1 cathode cap is 220uf, 25V, correct?  You recommend going to 25uf, or even as low as 3uf in that position?

...
Thanks,
Fred

correct - that's a standard mod - cf. the metroamp forum, and the yahoo jtm45 group.
In 1968 decreased the v1 cathode cap to .68uf. they went from 330uf to .68uf on the 100watters (sic)

different trannies - more inefficient OT = less bandwith. less filtering. tremolo etc
