46  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Best speaker?` on: May 10, 2010, 08:37:34 PM
Personal tastel, but I use EVM12l and Two Rock 1265R loaded in separate 1x12 cabs.  EVM12L and TR1265R come together nicely IMO.  If I had one speaker to choose, EVM12l.

I play mostly Strats and I love my OTS through two (2) 1x12 cabs.  One cab is loaded with a EVM12l and other is a Two Rock Sig Cab with their 1265R.  The two come together real nice for me.  If I only had one choice, would be EVM12l for my tone needs.
48  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: John Mayer Tone with OTS? on: May 03, 2010, 10:15:50 PM
I have a OTS 50-Watt that I bought used, so I don't know what mods were done on amp if any.  I've found with my amp, that the clean channel is good, not great, but OD channel is were the amp comes alive -has JM "Slow Dancing" to Trio Blues tone written all over it.  I can clean up the OD with volume control on guitar and turn it up to get his blues tone - very, very transparent tone.  So much so, that lately, I''ve been playing with no pedals up front, just Dr Scientist Reverbertor and Trex Replica in loop with Kleinulator - also helps minimize tone suck.   I play through two seperate 1x12 cabs.  One loaded with EVM12L and the other cab is a TR Sig Cab with TR1265R speaker.

Not sure this helps, but I would agree on 100-watt not being much louder, just more headroom....a positive.

Good Luck!!
49  Ceriatone / Overtone / Kleinulator Setup?? on: April 23, 2010, 05:33:02 AM
I put my Kleinulator into OTS 50-watt effects loop, then I have my Dr Scientist reverb and Replica delay pedal coming out of Kleinulator, is this corect for best tone??

Thanks I try it!!
51  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: OTS Clean Channel on: April 16, 2010, 05:51:30 PM
Thanks for he feedback!! Funny, I have many of the best OD's:  Dumkudo, SOV2, Fulldrive, etc, etc and alomost feel like I want to sell them now that I have this OTS i bought used - the OD channel is those pedals minus any small coloration of tone.

So if I hear you, you use clean channel with OD pedal up front and roll back guitar volume to clean up as required then go to lead channel with OD pedal ON for solo's - please confirm - thanks!!!
52  Ceriatone / Overtone / OTS Clean Channel on: April 16, 2010, 02:22:40 AM
I don't find my clean channel to be anything special, I seem to use OD channel and just roll off volume on guitar to clean up.  Do any of you use clean channel much, etc, as I would like to use OD pedals in front sometimes and I haven't had much sucess with OD pedals in front of OD channel??  Any suggestions on how you use, etc??

THANK YOU!!!
53  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: My Bass Control Doesn't Work-Help? on: April 16, 2010, 02:19:12 AM
Maybe its my amp cabs being a few inches from wall, not sure, but when I hit low E string only, bass booms out like a bass guitar.  Anyone have any suggestions - only on low E string - rattles my room....lol

56  Ceriatone / Overtone / My Bass Control Doesn't Work-Help? on: April 14, 2010, 10:44:42 PM
I just realized my Bass knob doesn't work, however I have good bass coming from amp, actually sometimes my low "E" strings booms a little too much- what is wrong??
57  Ceriatone / Overtone / Ceriatone OTS Amp Settings Please!! on: April 14, 2010, 10:40:26 PM
Without saying my current settings, what OTS amp settings, amp channel, pedals would you go with to get close to that "Mayer Tone" he gets with a Two Rock and Dumble?

I have a Kleinualtor in loop currently, use a Strat and these pedals are available:  SOV-2 OD, Dumkudo OD, TS-808, Fulldrive II, T-Rex Replica Delay, Dr Scientist Reverb, Aqua Puss, Katana, Buddy Guy Wah and others.

Thanks and I look forward to your recommended set-up and amp settings- I appreciate your time and thoughts very much.
58  Ceriatone / Overtone / Kleinulator Settings Please!! on: March 02, 2010, 09:08:50 PM
Anyoen using a Kleinulator from Ceriatone with OTS, please tell me what settings you like and if you use pedals in loop.  I currently use K-lator with T-Rex Replica and Dr Scientist Reverbrator.  I have all bright switches off and from top to bottom knobs are set as follows:

12-1pm, 2-3pm and 4-5pm for recovery.

I would also like to know if I added my Way Huge Aqua Puss, could this blow pedal, etc - currently used in front of amp and seems fine.

Thank you all for your valued feedback!!!!!!
59  Ceriatone / Overtone / Way Huge Aqua Puss in Effects Loop on: February 10, 2010, 08:42:09 PM
Any potential issues of screwing up a Aqua Puss or anything else if I add to my effects loop, which currently has Kleinulator, Dr Scientist Reverb and T-rex Replica??

Thanks all
60  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Can I get decent tones at bedroom level? on: January 28, 2010, 12:22:40 AM
As mentioned, all tube amps perform best when cranked and a 50-watt OTS will have the police knocking rather quickly on your door if cranked.  I normally don't get mine past 3, without killing my neighbor, but still enjoy it and rarely plug in my Tweed Blues Jr. anymore (that amp can get too loud).

All in all my OTS is a great amp and is still useable at bedroom volume IMO.
