I'd like to get an amp with the OTS OD, but with less "in your face" cleans, without sacrifising brightness/sparkle (using a C'lator).
Not so much the direct cleans of a Twin (bit harsh), but a bit mellower/milder in the attack of the string. Hard to discribe; a bit of natural compression maybe?

The OTS is so direct is very unforgiving in a sense.

Would that be a Bluesmaster?

What about the cleans?
Obviously a good OD tone is inmportant but so are the cleans. Does this setup work well with a C'lator?

Yeah I agree. I have a Hamer Studio and a Strat but my Tele sounds best

What do you mean by a BM type PAB? Is that a difficult mod to do?

Yeah those BM clips are nice. I was wondering if the "attack" of the BM is milder (more compressed??) then a regulaer OTS? I feel the OTS (clean) is very much "in your face"/very direct.  Good to cut through the mix, but a bit much for my tatse. That why I asked for the same clip with a Bm amp. You could realy compare the tonal differences.

@ mr fabulous. a friend of mine has an OTS with an EVM. I find it A Bit sterile. brighter but even more direct then the C12065.

Yeah that sounds realy nice. Close to my own setup I guess.
I was wondeing about 2 things. What are your settings? What do you do to compensate for the C'lator? I need to turn up the presence quite a bit to get rid of some of the darkness.
I have a prioblem with my PAB switch. sounds realy boxy. Do you have the same inssue?
Could you please redo the same clip with your bluesmaster?

I was wondering if there's any tonal difference between the two. I do feel the C-lator cuts a bit of top end (transparancy). I need to compensate by turning up my presence quite a bit.

Sounds nice and warm. Not as punchy as a regular OTS? Nice sparkle without being harsh. I have doublts about the OD though. Is it more agressive? (rock) or can it be just as bluesy as the OTS?
