these are excellent, but different: jtm45, jtm50, jtm45/100, superbass, bass, all the fenders and the overtone

that wouldn't be much different. try tad's bass kit or weber's svt kit

it's a rather large beast

a superbass will sound distorted and lofi. it will max be about 15ow before it distorts

the comet has become very popular in our studio and rehearsal room: it has been used for:
punk recording  (hamer korina special jr and 4x12" w g12t75s)
country recording (strat, esquire; 2x12" with alnicos)
stoner rock rehearsal (335 tuned to C; 4x12" with scumback H75s)
the stoner guitarist says he is gonna get a comet now

the express and liverpull has most gain (but I've not tried the dumble style amps)

We recorded with the comet yesterday. sounded excellent with a esquire and a strat.

however, it'll take a few months before the record is finished

you'll need a mass 100 with a 50w amp.
does nik sell a 100w version of the overtone?

I'd go for a plexi or a tweed

the circuits are prob accurate. but the cabs and chassis may be a little different

I think the lows will be tighter and cleaner. just swap tubes and see what you like. no problem w current draw

kt88 should work fine. marshall put in kt88s, adjusted bias and called them park 75s and 150s

well the old amps didnt use them. goes fine most of the time. depends on tubes. I installed 'em after blowing the ht fuse. now it works fine
