+1 It would be really nice if there was a layout that has component names listed as well ( Snubber, bleed resistors) with description of tonal change depending on values. Most of this stuff I've learned along the way while researching and building, but 1 layout/document could cover all of this and make things easier for everyone.

The FM50/100 are named Ford Marshall for a reason. I got the FM50 although I aint got a TELE or LP like RF, I play my trustee EBMM Morse and love all the PUP combos through her.The bridge HB sounds superb though You can talk to Nik about customizing your sound on your amp as well! He may recommend a better model for you based on what you describe. Hope to shed some light! You plan on build'n or pre built? Todd

He wont need to do the one hand in pocket! There will not be power applied until project is complete and I have checked all connections. After that if there are problems that require chopsticking, I will do it!
Main lesson goal will be to complete the project start to finish. He's only in 4th grade so I dont expect him to be calculating formulas and stuff. Although he knows resistor color codes already, Mainly because his dad is colorblind and needed help on first project!

Hello all Got a 2550 kit coming for myself and have decided to also do a small build with my nine year old son, so today ordered the Champ ultra pack 1 kit as well. He knows how to solder and has already done a PCB electronics project that turned out very well, so I will only be assisting him where needed. What do ya think, a documented build from a nine yr old. Pretty cool eh Coming soon..
BTW I will not let him be exposed to any hazards other than the heat from the soldering iron which he knows to be careful with.
