That seems to be the way most dumbles were wired, and is how Nik is doing it currently.
So is this actually the case?

Dang, I went back and forth on this, but decided to stick to the way Ceriatone (Nik) is/was indicating. (based on the build photos on the site)

I suppose it's not the end of world to change them. I'm just now finishing up the first stage of the build. I haven't installed the boards yet. Actually I'm just finishing up their assembly. I ordered the boards unassembled.
I've went back and forth on this as well. If you look at the pics on ceriatone website for the OTS 50 and then at the OTS FM50 youll see it done both ways.
Sometimes you gotta just close your eyes and throw a dart. That's actually how I ended up ordering the FM50 rather than the other models. I think from the clips all the models sound great and dont think it will matter in the end.

Thanks for the tips guys
Attached are 2 pics of the heaters I wired yesterday. Sorry iphones dont have flash so they are a little dark
Didnt have too much trouble with the knobs already mounted but I did remove the input jacks to wire them up outside of chassis.
Also Hywelg I read one of your previous posts on twisting the heater wires and then heating them. Very useful, I could have probably wound my wires even tighter although.
Anyways ran the heaters above dont know if they are high enough to be up to D*mbL3 standards.

Hello all
Just received my OTS FM50 Modern Eagle. Thanks to all the previous posts on building this amp I was able to get most of the hardware installed in just a couple hours.
Once off work I plan on getting the rest of the grounds installed and then maybe start on heater wiring ( Oh Boy ).
One thing I will mention being this is my first amp build is the pics on this forum and on ceriatone website make everything look bigger than in reality, but still more space than some DIY effects pedals I've built so it shouldnt be a problem.
Thanks again to all posting on this forum. Without you I would still staring at my parts with a dumb look on my face.

Thanks for the quick reply SoundPerf
I will pick up a M3 nut driver today or 2

And yes I am so excited I have probably soldered about 10 OTS's in my dreams over the last couple of weeks. You know you are obsessed when you dream of Long tail pairs and capacitor values.

Thanks again and best of luck with your HRM project.

Hello all long time lurker here finally pulled the trigger and ordered an OTS FM50 pack 2 kit.
I am in the process of gathering all the tools that I will need.
Do any builders here know what size nut drivers I will need for the various component mounting?
Thank you in advance for any replies.

Todd

Just curious how long ago did you place order. I know the prebuilt amps can take a couple months to ship but havent heard how long the kits take to ship.
Im planning on ordering the OTS HRM 100W Kit very soon.
