What tube are you using in the C-lator? I still have a JJ that came with mine but plan on trying a few different ones as well.

Well the best way to figure that out is to take both the layouts

http://www.ceriatone.com/images/layoutPic/OvertoneLayout/Overtone-Special-V2.jpg
and
http://www.ceriatone.com/images/layoutPic/OvertoneLayout/OTSFM50-ModernEagleMod.jpg

and compare.

Pretty much every cap on PS board ( board with the big electrolytic caps ) is changed as well as a couple resistors.
V2 caps different and about a dozen other little components throughout.
LNFB switch added etc. 3 way switch at bright sw change

I seem to recall a post about a modded digitech pedal? Was that the one you speak of Pickmaster?

When you say "Better" is this convenience, tone or both?

I did forget to mention the head cab is 2 rock style which may be a little taller than whatever cab you may have.

Saves me a lot of hassle though.

Hey Babybear2011

I didnt want to have an extra rack unit either so I did this with a pair of scissors and jigsaw.

The tube driven Buffered effects loop is the way to go IMO!

All I know is our IT dept from out of state called to warn that emails might get deleted and to back everything up. Dont know if it was a virus or just housecleaning!

As usual I check the forum to see if there are any new posts and noticed the most recent is from May28 Shocked

I know there has been stuff posted since then so WTF happened?

My work email had to be reset back to may 24 because of some virus yesterday as well

Did we get hacked?

The conversation was via email
But yes Soundperf pack 1 will only be sold assembled, you just add iron, so not really a kit!

As a matter of fact your clips are partly responsible for my getting into the D-styles.
Thank you

Also to everyone or anyone who celebrates it have a good memorial weekend!

I will probably share cabs with my FM for a little while to save some $

This guy makes some nice cabs, he can do more than what you see there too just ask him. Oh yeah cheaper than anyone else I've found also.
I had him make me a 2 rock style head cab ( little taller than d-stle, but fits my c-lator as well) then he also built me a d-style 2x12.

I paid $190 for head cab and $235 for 2x12 shipped!
U.S. only though

http://ceriatoneforum.com/index.php?topic=3454.0

I just got the heirloom style cab from gabkits for my 2550 and man it was almost $90 more and I feel like its gonna break its so flimsy.

Here is the hardware I have ordered from Hoffman!
I forgot to order the grommets where the PT and OT wires enter chassis!
And will have to find a 2KL pot elsewhere since hoffman did not carry that spec.

EDIT: Forgot to order Power tube hole covers for the 2 unused tubes and LED for pilot light I may change because upon receiving its a little small and will require 180ohm res to work

Edit: the total cost with shipping from Hoffman is $101.80
See were already saving $$$

For the PT, OT and Choke I will use MrGoldtops suggestion and get them from Magnetic Components.

PT - 40-18073         Fender style
OT - 40-18025        Plexi style OT
Choke - 40-18032    5h choke

Total cost for all iron with shipping = $181.79

Until I have completed this amp I cannot yet guarantee this will be 100% accurate.

Dont know if Nik will continue to supply boards and chassis but I will try to get components into this BOM just in case

If anyone sees any errors please dont hesitate to say so

EDIT: added pot values

Note: if CTS pot is used the chassis and face plate will need to be drilled to accomodate larger size shaft.
