it will work with any speakers as long as the impedance matches up (most likely it will) its a matter weather the EVM's will sound good or not. my guess is they wouldn't sound bad at all

sorry typo  Smiley

Ceramics are a bit louder and slightly harsher. Ceramics are also usually a bit "punchier" Alnico magnets are a little less loud(which you may want/like especially with a loud amp like a hiwatt) and when you push them hard they compress and get a fatter sound. but alnicos are also more expensive.

that being said the Axis and Crescendo are two different speakers even if you have the same magnet. Mixing them would give a great balanced hiwatt-y sound. Bright yet plenty of bass and punch, but it shouldnt get "harsh"

i think Pickmaster used one with his OTS and really liked it

the webers are great speakers. i would probably mix a ceramic fane crescendo with an alnico axis 12(the other weber Fane)

no slaving is basicly a preamp out so you can use "slave amps" but only have to adjust 1 set of EQ

its a two channel amp Bright channel and Normal. both with separate inputs

ah ok. I think my amps sounds very boxy when you hit the PAB switch.

yeah i get that too, usually a only use it for a jazzy sound on the clean channel. but on certain days it sound pretty good on OD too

Don't quite understand your last remark
you said it bypasses the bass and mids and later you say when you add mids it adds highs??

Listen to any fender, marshall, or dumble tonestack. as you add mids it also raises the highend somewhat. listen to the added brightness you get when you flip the midboost switch

i suggested only bypassing mids and bass(if its even doable) because you will still get a flatter EQ boost which wont sound as trebly

Dumble Jam 2

Recorded on a custom telecaster directly into computer(no cab or mic) MXR Dynacomp for "gain boost"
OD channel no PAB boost. Used headphones so no sustaining feedback Sad

I had to rush to get some "real" work done so theyre a litte sloppy

possibly only bypass the mids and bass, you'll still get a little treble boost due to the mids. when you add mids it adds highs
205  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: PAB mod to lower volume jump? on: May 11, 2009, 02:13:09 AM
adjust your tonestack higher. for example if your treble, middle, and bass were at 5,6,6 try 6/7,8,8. if you dime TMB you will get a very small PAB but if you keep them very low you will get a bigger boost

what i would like to really see is a channel switching hiwatt, i love the cleans and the OD but you cant use an A/B box due to the huge volume jump there would need to be another master volume to control OD
207  Website, Store / Suggestions / Re: 18watt HiWatt on: May 01, 2009, 04:11:28 PM
i think a lower powered 6V6 hiwatt would be great
208  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Question about 5881s on: April 24, 2009, 12:16:22 AM
i swapped the JJ 6L6GC's for tungsol 5881's and DID NOT BIAS my amp is still at the original 37mA i believe and it runs fine

210  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Best speaker?` on: April 09, 2009, 02:27:24 AM
i love alnico speakers with my overtone im using a mix between a g12-65 and an alnico gold. very warm and smooth, i like to mix speakers so im using a 30 watt alnico that is brighter but still very smooth
