Here's what I got going on:

Mullard ECC83 R.I. (in V1)

Hope this helps some of you! Cheesy

Is that New Sensor?

Yes it's New Sensors Reissue, @ almost $18 I think they're worth the dough ,fo sho

IMO the Ev's are steller for headroom.  The 65's are nice for low level OD, they do something weird @ high volumes ( then again I play really really loud. Its all Personal preference I guess.

I've tried several EH tubes and never had any success with them. The lows were always boomy ( if thats even a term? )
199  Ceriatone / Overtone / Tube Recommendations on: August 03, 2010, 01:44:32 AM
Grin After recent preamp tube change in my Bluesmaster...  I have found my preferred 12AX7's ...

Here's what I got going on:

Mullard ECC83 R.I. (in V1)

Tung-Sol 12AX7 (in V2)

Mullard ECC83 R.I. (in V3)

The Mullards have a really, really balanced tone but , they can be bright given certain applications. This is the first AX7 that I have turned the Pull-Bright Switch off (on the preamp vol). I am yet to find a tube  that is superior to the Tung-Sol 12AX7 that is under $20!

I believe I also have a Sovtek 5751 in my D-lator

Hope this helps some of you! Cheesy

What about the Exotic blender? Same thing in all respect really. Plus more feature's

 http://www.xotic.us/effects/x_blender/

 Maybe I'll get this instead.........

How is that Leslie simulator Steven?

Saw one on E-bay the other day for $500

I use the real deal but I'm always looking for alternatives for the grab and go.

I got the M300 today. It sounds great so far. My d-lator doesn't have the Series/Parallel switch anymore, just series. I'll probably buy a Suhr Mini Mix or something. I have to bypass it and see the difference in levels also.

It was easy to get a good usable sound, wish it had some EQ options. One thing I might do is get a 100'  long cable (in the loop) to smooth out the unwanted highs this thing produces, other than that for $100 shipped I'm satisfied.........for now.   Chair Dance

Has Anybody had any luck with a T.C. M300 or M-ONE with a D-lator?

I got one on the way and was curious if anyone can give me any idea of the Verbs this thing produces.
204  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Clean Boost/ Volume Pedal in Fx Loop? on: July 21, 2010, 06:43:07 PM
Has anyone had any luck with a clean boost or volume pedal in the nake fx loop (no kleinulator, etc), to boost the volume of an overdriven signal in this amp?

So the amps OD isn't enough for you?  Curious what style amp do you have? e.i. Non-Hrm, HRM etc. ?

Or do you just want to adjust gain levels on the fly?

If you use a Vol. pedal in the loop w/ out a D-lator/Klein and you have it on the floor you will most likely get signal loss w/ long cable lenths. I can't say 1st hand about using a clean boost in the loop. If you utilize the PAB the right way it's sole intention was you shouldn't have any problems. It boosts gain levels and lets you cut through the mix (Clean or OD).
205  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Clean Boost/ Volume Pedal in Fx Loop? on: July 21, 2010, 05:45:52 PM
Its better to use any clean boost/ volume pedal in front of the amp Smiley
206  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: any mods available for the ots hrm on: July 18, 2010, 03:07:19 PM
By my standards these amps have enough OD on tap... but if you need more, I would suggest on using some booster pedal.
Are you sure you tried everything... turn up the volume pot... and OD trim with PAB on and all that... still not enough
 Huh?

+1   , I agree with Mcinku these amps have tons of gain, too much sometime's given the right setting.. when I want my OD to cut through I use a Analog Man Mod Boss SD1 ( Tubescreamer variant ). Use a boost pedal and you won't have any problems.

with the OD trimmer you should be able to get gobs of gain.

 D-lator w/ a Boss dd-6 in loop. Getting a T.C. M300 soon, I'll post some clips of that also.
