Jesse (72fetter) Hey man! Good to see you hear! Nairbr Cant recall the price right now (just got back from hometown), but I will post it soon! It's economical, as usual. An indication would be the DZ30 kit pricing I'd say... Thanks! Nik

New amp will be up early next week, the Stray Cat 30. No prize for guessing for what it's modeled after I have to say, the gain channel is very good on this, as you can do metal on it! Dial it down, there's a lot of rock tones to be had too! Furthermore, the master works well on this. I had it at very low volumes, yet get excellent tones. The cleans is very good as well. But per original (not later model), you'd need an AB box to switch channels. Well, thats all for now. I will have some other amps too. Most of em try to cater to the more aggressive rock and metal tones. Thanks! Nik

Website, Store / Ceriatone.com / Re: Lower Shipment Rates to USA and major EU destinations

Randy
That is a good question but the answer is simple.
Shipment companies charge either ACTUAL weight or DIMENSIONAL weight, whichever is higher.
Think of it like this:
Say you want to send a small item weighing 1kg. Thats fine.
But say, you're sending a box the size of a car, but empty inside. Would they charge you still 1kg? No, they wont.
Instead, they will calculate the dimensional weight of the box.
The same goes for the amps.
If you choose to have the head cab (even by itself, nothing else), the box size needs to be considered.
Usually, for this type, we use Air Parcel (DHL Global Mail service). But with this service, there's no tracking and no insurance. And slower.
Air Parcel counts actual weight only (to some extent - they wont ship car sized box for 1kg still !:))
Hope this clears it up!
Thanks!
Nik

Sorry, just saw this. Simbot has a point. I will try to make the info. We started that way. I mean, back then, with kits and completes, say 18W and people will know. I guess, with so many models, I should start having a description. This means website revamp, which is another reason we have held off for so long. It wont be 2 hrs though. It does require some thought, for the descriptions! Thanks! Nik

Website, Store / General / Re: Dreaded UPS "Exception"

Hi!
Great to hear!
On UPS - dont pay much mind to the system status. Sometimes, they say something serious like Exception, then the box appears at the door.
Usually, it's 2-4 days to USA.
For future, if anything, just email us. We can sort it out by calling UPS here, and they will liaise with the local UPS.
Our packages go by system default, thats why it says 0.5kg. We have been advised not to put the actual weigt, and just go with system default. UPS is supposed to fill that up (automatically) at their facility, but I guess not.
Thanks!
Nik

Hi, Not sure, but I am not that big a fan of reverb, actually. Not that I hate it, I just dont use it, even on those blackfaces. I do stock some reverb tanks (300 to be precise), but I guess they're collecting dust. I promise I will take out the vibroverb prototype, and be done with it! Thanks! Nik

Hi Cam! Welcome! Sure thing, hope you hear from seeker, and if any questions (tech, etc), do email me. Chip , The plate voltage is abt 470-490V. Originals did go higher. But I wont subject my clients to using NOS tubes only (GEC KT66s wow these are crazy pricy now!). So we lower it a bit. I am not sure what JJ KT66s, or other new brands can take. Anyone know if those can go higher, voltage wise? I like the Shuguangs though but will try those Gold Lions (sovtek) soon, see how those sound like. Thanks! Nik

Tommy Great! Sad thing is, my Klon was used as a door stop for many years. I used it, but the door was close to the speaker cab, so... I kinda treat it nicer now knowing the price! The build is pretty sturdy, so dont think anything can damage it. It's a great pedal, and you're right, I guess prices will go high with those guys using em. I am not sure if mine was one of those with 9V supply issues though (early ones). I think Bill issued a fix on that back then. So you might want to check, if yours is early. Thanks! Nik

Bob man! Someone emailed me on how to contact you, so it's good to find you here! Oh vacation? I will pass on your email to him, but will also let him know on your vacation Hiredhand - Shamefully, I cant remember your name man. I am not sure if it's just me, or if the solder fumes have finally caught up with me! Can you email me directly? On the matter of parts - yeah I have been ranting abt it, but now I realize it's just business. I was expecting it. But not this soon. I mean, usually all is gentle and all that before it gets ugly. Its gotten ugly pretty fast eh? Thanks! Nik
