New amp will be up early next week, the Stray Cat 30.

No prize for guessing for what it's modeled after Smiley

I have to say, the gain channel is very good on this, as you can do metal on it! Dial it down, there's a lot of rock tones to be had too!

Furthermore, the master works well on this. I had it at very low volumes, yet get excellent tones.

The cleans is very good as well. But per original (not later model), you'd need an AB box to switch channels.

Well, thats all for now. I will have some other amps too.

Most of em try to cater to the more aggressive rock and metal tones.

Thanks!

Nik

Jesse (72fetter)

Hey man! Good to see you hear! Smiley

Nairbr

Cant recall the price right now (just got back from hometown), but I will post it soon! It's economical, as usual.

An indication would be the DZ30 kit pricing I'd say...

Thanks!

OK, I'm a dummy as far as these types of amps go.  Can someone please fill me in, or perhaps give me a link to a similar amp?   I thought maybe it was similar to an SC-30 but that one uses EL34 output tubes, right?

Thanks,
Dave

The wifey just informed me my new DC-30 kit just arrived.  She is a little piffed at me but she doesn't know that I am saving my pennies now for this kit.  I just played through a "Bad" litlle cat like this last weekend and I am in love.  I have to have it.  I think she'll get over it if not I will sure miss her...

Guys!

Hehe... Roe's got it right!

I like the gain channel. It does metal even!

Pics are up on my website for the amp (inside pics and what not).

So check it out...

Sorry abt the wifey - I have been thinking to partner up with a florist chain. This way, we can also provide the service, and can try to deliver the flowers around same time amp arrives! Smiley

Thanks!
