Parallel wiring is a best choice. Also one thing to remember, high inductive reactance (ohmage) reduces high frequency and volume, so if your speakers are dark (G12-65s for example) it is better to have them in parallel 4 Ohm. For more open, Fendery SRV tone I use two 16 Ohm G12 Centuries in 8 Ohm cab. Here is a sound sample http://www.guitarampcab.com/cclean.mp3
This will do exactly what you want – Bonamassa, Govan type of lead sound without boost or any pedal. Aggressive but still creamy overdrive tone with loads of gain. Clean is unaffected. Forgive me for asking, what type of guitar god are you? Major, minor, augmented or diminished?
Hi, It is very easy. Just change post drive trimmer 220k resistor to 10k and change V2 330pf capacitors to 470pf as shown on the pic. You’ll love it. P.S. Put amp’s rock switch ON and switch OFF dreadful PAB, you’ll never need it.
Couple of video clips from recent blues jam in Brentwood, Essex UK.
50w OTS S&M, 1x12 Thiele with EV and a beam blocker. Guitar is a custom Mirage. Lovely guitar playing also from Mr. John Edmonds on a Fuchs ODS 30 with 4x10.
First of all please remove 3way switch on slope resistor and put there 68k 2w metal film resistor. You can damage amp or yourself with this switch, 250v DC goes through it !!!
You can remove NFL from V1 or just put the switch there, it will increase the bass response.
Increase a value of decupling caps on both channels from 2,2mf to 10mf - more bass.
Increase a value of drive feed 0,005 cap to 0,01 – fatter overdrive
