Ok so that doesn't sound like a good idea at all! Have a situation where I'm playing in a building where thieves actually stole the outside ground wire from the building for the copper. Yeah... While waiting for a resolution (insurance, etc...) in the meantime, causes a lot of outside interference and a LOT of noise in the instruments.

I have a brother-in-law that is a foreman for a large construction company and does mostly large multi-story and industrial buildings. He has all kinds of stories about right after roughing out all the electrical and plumbing in a building, thieves coming in and tearing out all the copper. They also don't care what they destroy in process. They have be using security now to watch the buildings. Just something else to raise costs.
