Well not physically at the moment just finished working out all the parts i need [ Mouser + Antique Electronic Supply ] what a daunting exercise i'm all googled out and need eye drops ! Chair Dance  I'll be making turret boards as i'm only ordering transformers from ceriatone [ his trannies in the FM 50 sound fine to me ], emailed Nik  about what type of resisters to use in various parts of the amp, had a reply  within the hour there must be ten of him. He's the man ! very helpful as i'm using his layout, the only parts i haven't ordered are the 20 uf +200uf filter caps they seem to be not  popular i'm thinking F+T 22uf + 220 uf caps will those extra 2+ 20 uf's change the characteristics of the amp ? Should i stick to the original specs may be some of the learned folk round here could ease the dilemma , I'm thinking of documenting and taking pics of the build, is another build thread needed ?

Head over to the Ampgarage. You'll find spreadsheet BOM's with links to mouser part numbers very helpful IMO. Might be worth reading through more than one though as some people have different prefs for part types, ratings etc.

Thanks hywelg for steering me over to the garage, i'm on the right track now concerning those caps,
sure is a lot of reading and learning to be done over there.

I should reintroduce my self i posted a couple of times a year ago but a few of life's interruptions put a damper on the amp building,
Hi to everyone and thanks for the knowledgeable input, i still have a lot theory to learn.
Things are starting to move along with the boys at the local sign shop bending a 2mm aluminum sheet into a chassis for a 6 pack of beer
they baulked at cutting all the holes guess I'll have to do that my self ,  good thing i have my dads old chassis hole cutters from his mono HiFi amp building days.
Preamp tubes are the last parts i have to order, after reading all the posts here i have settled on 2 tungsol reissues in v1 +v2 and a Sovtek LPS   i had to make a decision as there were many combinations  that folks like personally . Been reading a few negative reports about tungsol reliability issues hope they have resolved those problems  never really thought about preamp tubes but i know better now, have to choose one for the c/lator build as well i'm thinking jjeec 83 any suggestions would be welcomed gladly.
