I just bought a used 50-watt Overtone Special and love it, especially because my Strats thin not sound thin, but what I'm finding on this amp is, the bass at any medium level is too strong - rattles my room.  I have a 1x12 cab with EVM12L.  Any suggesstions would be great.

P.S.  Even if I drop the Bass down to 1 or 2, still pretty heavy - playing aggrssively/hard on low E string gets pretty scary, at least to my neighbors :-)  I have a pretty inexpexpensive amp cable to cab, so ordered a EA Siren, maybe will help  -Evidience Audio (Tony) make the best cables....period!!!

Thanks for feedback/help.

Is that an open back or closed back cab?

Do you know if your amp was a factory build or did the person you got it from build it?

The wrong part placed somewhere, resistor or cap,  can boost the bass.
