Hello,
First of all, RP200 modifications are only needed if you want to have amp’s channel and boost switching knobs and LEDs ON THE RP200 itself. Than you need 5pin XLR and additional stereo output jack sockets as well as multicore individually shielded cable for send, return, channel and boost. See the pic.
Otherwise RP200 works great in the loop with just low capacitance, individually (to avoid crosstalk) and overall shielded stereo cable. You just use your amps footswitch box separately.
Now, you have to remember that when RP200 is switched ON it sets itself on program no.1 and master volume on 33. VERY IMPORTANT that before the gig you always set the master volume on 99 !!! with this setting your return signal will be unaffected by capacitance to much and volume will be slightly higher (which is good) than loop without the RP200.
RP200 and RP100s are only digitech pedals which can take and handle high output signal from amp’s master even on 6-7 which is very loud, more than gig volume.
I never put my amp’s master higher than 3 and even than everyone complains about volume.
Finally use RP200’s inner EQ to adjust the best tone when all effects are OFF end program them afterwards.
Optimum length of a stereo cable (with 70pfm capacitance between core and shield) is 5m. If you using longer cables, compensate highs with the RP200’s EQ.
Good luck.
