Man bigwebb, your clips are sounding better each time. And the guitar is super cool. Cool What pickups are in it? I'm not a huge fan of graphics on guitars, but I would certainly not mind having that in my collection. The color choice of the flames and black body go really nicely. Looks great in the tweed case.

Keep up the great work.  Smiley

Thanks man.  The pickups are Don Mare Josie Vaughn's.  Great pickups.

First recording with a new rocketfire strat body and total 60's pickups from Nick at Rocketfire.  OTS 50 watt running on drive channel at the begining and then about half way through I kick in a tubescreamer, deja vibe and delay.  Or maybe the tubescreamer was there the whole time?  I can't remember lol

Wow, missed your clips somehow. Sounds excellent..nice and smooth.

Did you build your amp or have it built? Anything special with the circuit?

Thanks very much, Chris  Cheesy

Nik build the amp, I did only some minor tweaks: different treble cap, HRM on/off switch - but HRM is on here. There should be nothing special. Nik build it in spring 2010.
But spent endless time in choosing tubes and speakers. Correct speakers and cabinet!! is actually VERY VERY important!
After the recording I changed the tubes again - and the sound got even better for my taste. More expensive tubes DO sound a little better - sometimes  Undecided

Try 12AT7/ECC81 tubes in V1  Wink
