I have build the Overtone Special kit #2 and made the cabinet and head from scratch.
Not great I'm afraid, cabinet & head are not what I hoped to be in the looks department.
But it sure does sound very good!

Hello Steven,

I'm not doing anything on the housing anymore.
Took to much time, now I just want to play the Overtone.
Maybe in an couple of months I can find the will to redo
the housing with Blue Tolex.

I saw that you ordered as well, and bought a cabinet with two 12H65's.
Did you find someone to build the Klein-ulator?
I have received all the parts today so that is my next  project.
Not that the old Intellifex needs it, but for possible other effects.

At least you have a cab... I'm still in the process of completing it... and yes it takes a lot of time   Undecided

Yeah Someone was kind enough to offer to build me a Kleinolator. I put it on hold though. I wanna try it with my PODXT Pro rack 1st to see if that works. I prefer to use a little stuff as possible.

By the way. I'm selling my Marshall Valvestate Pro 120/120 stereo mostfet power-amp in een SKB case with 2 small Ceelestion G12H-100 cabs.

Hey bluegate.  Nothin wrong with that...looks pretty spiffy to me.  It needs two big white racing stripes ala mustang with a pinstripe lettering "Elenor"... Cool

I play a Fender Eric Johnson strat with Bareknuckles Apache pickups.
The Overtone gives me a great Clean sound but the OD was to bright.
So I did some mods to the Overtone to get more balance in the sound.

Mods:
- Bright cap from 270pF to 100pF.
- Snubber caps from 270pF to 270p+330p parallel on V2a & V2b.
- PreOD resistor from 150k to 220k.
- Removed Filter on Effectsloop (R+C).
- Resistor before the Ratio pot from 150k to 300k.
- Mid cap from 0,01uF to 0,047uF.

Now I can play Clean with bright switch on and still use the OD.
And with PAB it still sounds great without getting harsh on OD.

Interesting changes Bluegate. Can I ask what speaker/cab you are using?

Build the cab myself, it has a Jensen C12K speaker in there with two ports on the front side
of the baffle.

Care to share the dimensions on your cab and ports?

It's basically the bottem side of my Bogner Shiva 1x12" combo.
Dont' have the measurements any more.
But aprox: 62 cm wide, 35 cm high and 30 cm deep.
Ports are 7 cm in diameter.

Nice work Dave!
You're having the biggest value on the snubber caps I've seen so far. Sure getting curious for the sound of that.
