When wiring the tube sockets I wire pins 2 to 2 and 7 to 7 on the 6l6's and pins 9 and 4 to 9 and 4 on the pre's, correct?
then would it be pin 2 from the 6l6 to pin 4 on the pre's and pin 7 form the 6l6 to pin 9 on the pre's?

That's what I did, but I don't believe it matters.
