RMS / Peak output of JTM45

Based on Nik's amps, what are the peak and RMS output of the JTM45 (KT66) and JTM50 (EL34)?

Will 60W handling power of speakers be enough to crank the JTM45 to max volume?

Also, will jumping the channels have any effect on output?

Not 100% sure about Nik's, I haven't measured voltages in one of his JTM45, but traditionally a JTM-45's RMS is around 30-36 watts. I believe you should be just fine with a rated 60-watt speaker load.

Some speakers rate themselves against RMS (Weber and Eminence for instance), so if they are selected to match or exceed the amp's RMS output and they should handle the peak as well.

Others measure against Peak (vintage speakers, Scumback) so they could be blown of the amp's peak surpasses the speakers rating.

a 45 is typically just above 30 watt at the point of breakup and ca 50w at full volume.
a 50 would be 40-50 and 80-90 respectively

Hi guys, thanks.

I use weber speakers currently.

I haven't dimed it because I didn't have to for venue purposes.

But the speakers from weber are rated 30W each, 2x12 , 60W power handling total.

Based on weber's input, he mentioned there wouldn't be an issue as his speakers rated at 30W can handle 50W each.
