The attached pic diagrams the basic VVR installation. The BB layout is linked. I'm removing the entire tremolo circuit, and the VVR will mount at the "intensity" pot location.

I'm trying to figure out where the VVR gets "inserted" into the B+. The diagram doesn't show a tube rectifier on the "B+ IN" side, and the "B+ OUT" side shows the line going to the power tube plates, but on the BB it appears to go to the OT CT.

Thanks in advance!

I stumbled onto a thread at Metroamps' forum, where the OP installed a VVR in his Metro JTM45 "between the first filter cap and the choke."

Maybe I'll run with that.

Many thanks to all the great folks here for such tremendous help ... NOT!!!

I guess I don't understand your question.
1.  What difference does it make whether the rectifier diodes are tube or solid state?  The VVR installs after rectification.
2.  What is wrong with installing the VVR per the diagram you provided?

Really? You don't understand words like "I'm trying to figure out." Really?? Then "I guess" you don't understand other words, like "patronizing."
