Title: Help locating B+ for VVR3 install to JTM45BB Post by: 72sg on May 18, 2010, 05:41:16 AM The attached pic diagrams the basic VVR installation. The BB layout is linked. I'm removing the entire tremolo circuit, and the VVR will mount at the "intensity" pot location.
I'm trying to figure out where the VVR gets "inserted" into the B+. The diagram doesn't show a tube rectifier on the "B+ IN" side, and the "B+ OUT" side shows the line going to the power tube plates, but on the BB it appears to go to the OT CT. 1. What difference does it make whether the rectifier diodes are tube or solid state? The VVR installs after rectification. 2. What is wrong with installing the VVR per the diagram you provided?
