hey guys,

im the owner of an orange 2x12 cab and a tiny terror amp, but im after another head to go with the cab.

Something with a nice clean fenderish tone that i cant get from the tiny terror, i was thinking either the Bandmaster clone or the JTM 45 clone? as ive head it has an excellent clean also, whats your views on these two amps?

any advice much appreciated.

thanks

Barkling up the wrong tree for "Fender-ish tone."

"Fender Tone" and "Tweed Tone" are very different things.

Well, all the Ceriatone Fender options (except the BF Champ) are Tweed amps.  These amps don't offer the signature scooped-mid, shimmering, spanky "Fender Tone" that we all know and expect from Blackface or Silverface Fender amps.

Tweed Fenders offer "Tweed Tone," much more Marshall-y -- lots of mids; loose bottom end, and rolled off highs.  Still a great, thick clean sound, but if you're looking for the more familiar "Fender Tone," these amps offer quite the opposite.  The Tweed Bandmaster may not be the first choice for a clean amp, they actually break up fairly early, much sooner than a Tweed Bassman or JTM-45.

I'm biased, but I'd suggest the Lightning.  Cheesy

Cheers...
