I just built the Plexi50 and it is GREAT! I used to play professionally during the early 70's to the mid '80's and believe it or not I never owned a Marshall! But I've had a lot of other amps. Mainly it was Bassman's that I used including three '59's, two blonds, and one blackface. The amp that I had from nearly the very beginning-1967-was a Vox AC100 built in 1963. I also had two HiWatt 103 100 watts-1 stack w/head and 1 head circa 1970 that I used until the last performance in 1985 that I did. A matter of fact that last gig was done with the Vox AC100 (w/master volume for a dirty sound) and the HiWatt for a clean sound. Now my question is what Ceriatone amp do I use to complement the Plexi50, either run together or separately with an a/b/c box? I've been leaning towards the Tweed Twin, the HeyWhat 504, the Bassman 5f6a w/4x10's, or the 36 watt ef86. What's your thoughts on this? I want a complementary sound in other words, different than the Plexi but not so different as to not sound good together.
