I'm wondering if Nik thinks about making overdrive/treeble booster or anything alike...

Imagine paying 75$ for a top notch rangemaster...

Hi

  75?? Really??

  I was thinking 50! Duh!

Heheh.. I had it in the plan but we got so tied up.

Perhaps one day. I am pretty sure those germanium transistors have dried up here. Lots of pedal tweakers around here.

Thanks!

Nik

How about a Dumble pedal? It's not like there aren't a million o fthem out there already so I doubt if anyone is gonna raise too much hell about that.

But then again, who knows, right??

If you're in the States and want to undertake a pedal build, the BYOC stuff is supposed to be great.  I'm having my GF order me their Rat kit for the holidays.

I'd love to see a BK Butler Tube Driver clone. The 4-knob version with the externally-accessible bias adjustment mod. The Tube Driver is an important component of some of my favorite Eric Johnson and David Gilmour tones.

Butler's back to making limited production runs at around US$425 a pop (with the bias adjust knob) <http://www.butleraudio.com/tubedriver.php>. I'm sure it's worth every penny to players who need to have the real thing.

Don't know what the legalities are, but I doubt a clone kit would put a significant dent in Butler's business. I believe (could be wrong) he even licensed the circuit to Ibanez for a while (the old '90's Tube King, NOT the new high-voltage version that just came out).

Eric sold out on you, he dropped the Butler and was useing an AC Booster, Echo Plex, FuzzFace, just recently, A Twin, Delux's and a Super Reverb, And Guess what ? He still had the same tone he had with the old setup. and I do agree with you, the Man is a Tone Machine, A few year's back, I got to Hangout with him at a Show he did here in S.A. And i did learn a lot, he's a perfectionist, the Sound check took 3 hr's for 4 amp's and 3 guitar's, and he put on a Show, I enjoyed it very much.

I've always wanted a stand-alone reverb unit.  I just never got around to building one.  I think a reverb kit would fit in nicely with Nik's tweed offerings.

I agree with the BYOC kits...I've built the fuzz, script phaser, and the screamer clone.  Great kits, great tones and reasonable prices.

I second this, a Ceriatone reverb unit would be amazing.

The old original Fender units were made to run straight into a clean amp.
