I've got a Mark IV with a tube buffered effects loop too. Boogie has been doing that since the 1970s. They certainly had their tube buffered act together by the time the Mark IIC+ came out, in 1985. No Randall-ulator needed! Geez, the Kleinulator is an 8 pin op-amp chip. Somehow I think there'd be space for it. RedPlate amps come with tube buffered effects loops, in very small chassis. It is possible to get a loop in there. The new Zingaro from Glaswerks also has a tube buffered loop. Yes I saw it a couple of days ago. It looks about as good and "pro" as any I've seen. $160 for the kit is absolutely fantastic. Kudos to Nik for slaying the tube loop dragon at a most affordable price. I did notice the Glaswerks Matchbox has 2 12AX7s. It ought to for $700. I still want Nik to build various OTS preamps. He's not off the hook just yet........ |
