I imagine there would be a lot of interest in a jubilee, just due to the reputation of the amp. I recorded on one a little while back, and it was cool, but I don't think I 'got' what it is that people really like about it.

What's special about it? Is it the half power switch... the master volume? I think form my one experience, I felt that it was pretty similar sounding to a 2204 0r 2203.

I have seen them with a 25/50 power switch and it has a diode clipping circuit (basically a built in distortion pedal). I love the chrome front panel on the Jubes! More info here on the 2550:

More here too!:

hmm...makes me wonder if it's close to the 2205 because of the diode clipping.

A Jubilee would be great.

Then I can retire my 1987 Jubilee stack.

Joe Bonamassa uses the silver Jubilee. I think the Slash model is very similar? So, make the silver jubilee and, along with the OTS, or maybe a two rock clone (he uses a CRS v1 as well) we'll see some big Joe B. multi-amp rigs for reasonable dough!

The best Marshall ever! Nik, I will be the first to order this package from you. I believe these could out sell the OTS.

Any hope?

According to the official Joe Bonamassa web site, the Slash model is very similar with additional gain.  I played one a while back at a local GC and it was very nice.  Good variety of harmonics and good clean tone.  A bit difficult to dial in though.

Tones of info on Joe B.'s multi - amp set-up on his web site.

There was a thread about it over in the JCm section, but so far everyone is waiting for the first kit to be finished.
