Title: I don't know what amp I should get, HELP! Post by: AceN4 on August 03, 2011, 05:11:29 AM I've only recently found out about Ceriatone amps from a friend of mine and after hearing and reading about them,
I'm thinking about getting one for myself. I just don't know which one. My friend has a small Vox sounding amp which I really like but I'm not exactly after that sound. I have a 40 watt Marshall DSL combo at the moment. It's great for the lounge room but not for gigs. I've tried the 100 watt DSL with a 300 watt cab, and I really love it but it's very expensive. I want an amp with enough headroom to play loud on the clean channel without it breaking up. I know a lot of people like that sound but I'd rather have pure clean and get my distortion from the other channels. The distorted sound I'm after is something like that of Nuno Bettencourt. If you like to the intro to 'Peacemaker Die', it sounds to me like he's using two amps. One for clarity, one for distortion and it sounds awesome. What I want to know is, are there Ceriatone amps that can give me that sound? Any help would be appreciated, Cheers. Title: Re: I don't know what amp I should get, HELP!
