the 1963-64 6g6b is the amp! just remove the cap that bleeds the treble to ground in the bass channel.

  Simple enough amp to do.

  If I can make it so that it fits my own type of chassis ie not fender like, would it still have the same tone? Wink

doesn't matter what it looks like, as long as it sounds good. a black chassis like the tweed amp chassis would be fine.... if it could go in a head cab and sort of look like the Dr Z amps, I think it would be cool.

I don't mind if it doesn't look like a bassman cab, just as long as it sounds good!  Grin

this is a killer amp. the bass channel is good with gibbys and fenders. the guitar channel kills a filtertron gretsch

Marsh amplification are doing a 6G6B replica, and apparently chassis sets will be available if your keen to DIY
