Title: Started my Build Post by: Nairbr on September 18, 2010, 12:06:20 AM Hi Everybody
I got my Stray Cat kit two weeks ago from Nik and I just started to put it together last night. So far I have put the trannies in and all the valve sockets but no wiring done as yet. I will take photos along the way and post them and so if anyone spots any mistakes or a better way to do it, please feel free to say something as this is my biggest electronics project I have taken on. I also bought a C-Lator kit from Nik for my Overtone HRM and that was a successful build, it took me about 8 hours all up. Plenty of checking and double checking before putting power through it. Cheers Brian Title: Re: Started my Build Post by: cmoore on September 18, 2010, 01:56:30 AM Congrats!
I do not think I have seen a cat biased 2xEL34 amp before. Will be anxious to see how your chassis progresses. Good Luck Title: Re: Started my Build Post by: Emohawk on September 18, 2010, 09:02:20 PM I just finished mine this afternoon and it really is a fantastic amp. I think you'll be pleased with the result!

I had one problem to chase down and it was a real simple stupid mistake. When I put the valves in I must of pushed V1 in crooked and bent a pin and it took me about an hour to find. But IT"S ALIVE. ;D ;D ;D ;D I have only tried it at bedroom levels so far but it's a real gain monster and the clean channel is really nice too, I will have to get a ABY box to channel switch the beast. Now for the burn in. Once again Nik and his team have come up with another awesome amp Title: Re: Started my Build Post by: Kitarist on September 26, 2010, 04:32:31 PM Pics and soundclips please :D
