1  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: scatzy,harsch on: July 14, 2009, 06:49:38 PM
Hi, I am Andrea from Italy. I want to tell Hans my settings.
I play the clean channel with bass boost enhanced, jazz mode, volume 4, master at 3 presence 6.
Add a RAT overdrive with dist at 11, tone and volume at 2 o'clock.
Gibson 335 and its pure Robben Ford, no way, even at very low volume (master at 3) it's Robben Ford!!!
But you have absolutely to invest some money in the Kleinulator, I don't know why, its effects is terrific, I can't explain how much the sound is improved by this simple box. I run it in the loop with no effect, but the impact on the sound is unbeleaveble. That's the secret! Use the kleinulator in the loop and drive the clean sound with an overdrive and you will discover the real potential of this amp.
Don't waste money in Bogner or Fuchs, invest 100 dollars in the Kleinulator. I tried a Fuchs and bought the Ceriatone only because it is cheaper, but the sound is simply as good if not better at a quarter of the price. Remember Ceriatone is point to point. Fuchs is not.
Let me know.

I think Rich Ward uses Splawn amps, that are basically hot rodded Marshall.

3  Ceriatone / Overtone / Bright Switch on: February 22, 2009, 04:23:54 PM
Hi, it's Andrea again.
I found my sound on my overtone, I use the clean channel at about 6 with a HAO Rumble Mod and a BB Booster in front of it for light crunch and a little more drive.
I set the rock option, the deep is on.
This setting sounds very nice to my ears, warm and clear at the same time.
Maybe it lacks a little bright for perfection, but engaging the bright switch on seems to add too high freqs, too harsh.
What I am asking here do you know (maybe it was already treted) a bright switch mod, may be giving it a 3 position, to add not so much high harsh freqs, but I think something like medium - highs, a touch of brightness and presence without harsh?
If you could suggest is is going to be appreciated very much.
Than ksagain, Andrea.
4  Ceriatone / Overtone / Output Transformer on: February 12, 2009, 07:11:08 PM
Hi everybody, I am Andrea from Italy.
I am a new Overtone owner. I am pleased with the sound and here I found a lot of tips that I will try on.
But my question is the following: I read on an italian guitar site (www.accordo.it) that Overtone models may have a further step in qualitu of sound by replacing the original otuput transformer with those used by fender or marshall, giving a major fender-que or marshlles-que sound.
did someone try this modification?
Do you think it is a good idea changing transformer and do they affect so much the overall sound?
Thanks a lot. I am sure someone could give me some advice.
Andrea.
