I ordered complete amp was delivered by DHL.  About 4 months after delivery got bill for import taxes from DHL for $35.00.  Was hoping they had forgotten me but no luck.

Is he plugged into the FET or the Nor.  The FET is for acoustic FET pickups.  For electric guitar should plug into NOR.

If he wants more distortion should turn up OD trim pot.

I believe Nik has completed the schematics for the AC30 clone.  You might want to shot him an email and see if he will build and what the cost is.  He has stated in this forum that he has been working on the AC30 but is is complex and might cause his people to mutiny if they have to build.

I did not ask the price.  I thought the name he had for it was the bomb Grin

Got an email from Nik about the "dildolator" as he calls it.  He says he is just waiting for the tranny cover.

Huh? What is a redplate dlator?  Tried to google, no luck.

Nik is in the process of producing a d*****lator or was as of a few months ago.  I guess I need to email him again and see whats up.
8  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Overtone HRM Build and Problems on: November 12, 2009, 06:34:42 AM
I had purchased a complete amp from Nik about 6 months ago, a Overtone S&M 100W.  Love the amp and had been thinking about buying a kit and building a HRM but had talked my self out of it.

Man, now it looks like I am going to have to get one, your web site left me no other excuses.
9  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Power Scaling the Overtone Special with London Power's SB-1 Kit on: November 10, 2009, 10:49:26 PM
Ordered an SB-1 today for my Ceriatone Overtone S&M 100 W, after looking at your post.  Has been awhile since I soldered anything,  I can probably manage, like riding a bicycle I hope.  Used to do board level repair on cash registers.

Thanks for the info!!! Grin
10  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Increasing (clean) headroom on: September 10, 2009, 04:52:55 AM
You could try Kt66s.  I have a Vintone Crystal 38 and tried all kinds of tubes in it, EL34, 6L6 and several others.  All broke up to quick.  Went to English made GEC Kt 66 and man what a difference, but they are expensive.  I thought about putting them in my OTS but it is 100 watt and I don't need any more clean headroom and to find 4 matched KT66s would be real expensive.  Might need to check with Nik and see if amp can handle as they draw 1.5 amps where as the 6L6s draw .900 amps.

If you can find some 7581A Sylvania tubes these are rated at 35 watts each.  This should also give more clean headroom.

I asked Nik about D******tor and he said he was in process of building them for sale.  That was about a month ago, still waiting and looking at web site for their arrival.  I believe it is to be rack mounted.

Huh?  What happened to the test? Cry

I would also like to see SSS.  Santana also has one in his arsenal.  150 watts and very clean headroom. Cool
14  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: S & M or HRM?-----50 watts or 100 watts? on: August 04, 2009, 09:57:04 PM
I have the S & M 100 with half power switch.  I also got Nick to make OD volume like HRM.  The clean side has a master volume and the OD does not.  This allows better control over the volume difference of the clean and OD channels.  Get some earplugs as the 100 watt is very loud. Grin
15  Website, Store / General / Re: Shipping time? on: May 16, 2009, 09:29:02 PM
Nik is almost right on with his estimates.  I ordered an Overtone S&M March 7th and Nik told me about 8 to 10 weeks.  Another guy ordered his on March 27th and we both got our amps the same week.

I saw in the forums where people had ordered other style amps after I did and received before I did.  I guess he builds by style amp.   All I know is that he was right on in the estimate.

My thanks to Nik and his team.
