1  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Speaker in Dumble? on: April 12, 2009, 06:03:17 AM
There is no hard answer, you can put in any speaker you like.

Celestion G12-65, ElectroVoice EVM-12L, Eminence Delta pro 12, Eminence Red, white and Blues are common used speakers with Dumbles and clones.

I have a Eminence Cannabis Rex in mine and man does it sound good!!!

I have a 10'' Tonetubby Alnico it is the most defining speakers I have used.  I also have a Weber VST 10" which is a close 2nd.  I use both in the same speaker cab combo.  I think I'm the only guy on this site to use 10'' speakers

I have a 12" Eminence Cannabis Rex in my OTS 1x12 combo and it rocks!! I love the tone the speaker and amp have together

I just finished it last night. I will post some better pics tonight:

Nice cab!
Who built it??
What speaker do you have in it?

Pre-built by Nik at Ceriatone. I had him put the OD tuner on the outside of the back panel. the combo is from GABKITS.com, they were very fast and great people!! I have a 12 Eminence Cannabis Rex 8ohms in it.  It sounds pretty damn good for just putting it together. I have had it on all day, trying to get everything worn in.

6  Ceriatone / Overtone / One final question before I get ready to play... on: February 26, 2009, 08:21:56 PM
Alright, so please help this noob out here...

1- So I dont not need to worry about the Ground being on 1 or 2?? I just ready it is not even connected to anything?

2-When taking apart the end of a cable, which end is the + and which is the -?? I am about to solder an electrical cable for my speaker to amp cable.

3- since I just have 1 12inch speaker and 8ohms, I just set my OTS to 8?

Thanks folks for all the help!!!

Are you ordering the speaker from Gabkits? If you are, Gabkits will wire it for you. You just pay (I think) $15 for the speaker cord which comes with the 1/4" male plug for the back of the amp.

Nope, i have the speaker here at my house.

Cool thanks.  I just went to the hardware store and got some regular electrical cord, like for a lamp cord, this will work correct?? Also, which end of the male 1/8th jack is the positive??  and one more, when I get ready to turn my amp on, I will be running it in a combo 1x12 combo with an 8emp speaker, so I will set y knob to 8, but what about the power switch? Do I do 1 or 2 on it? Im guessing this is half power and full power??
9  Ceriatone / Overtone / need some small help with my amp! on: February 10, 2009, 05:52:53 PM
I ordered the pre-built chassis from the Nik and I ordered a gab kit combo. i have never built an amp, so all I need to do wire the speaker to the amp. What kind of wire do I need to use from the speaker in to the speaker plug? Can I use a male end of a guitar chord? Also, what do I need to set the knobs in the back of my amp for a single 1x12 speaker in the combo?? Thanks!

I have a pair of Eminence Cannabis Rex speakers I had in a Fender Hot Rod Deville. They sounded so good. Im going to use one of them in my OTS 1x12 cab. I cant wait.
11  Ceriatone / Overtone / which OTS for high gain like this?? on: December 28, 2008, 02:31:40 AM
I need a very high gain overdrive tone.  Which would be best for me. Here is a video of the tone that I am searching for.  The band is widespread panic and their lead guitar player, Jimmy Herring plays a Fuchs TDS 100 into a Hard Truckers cab loaded with Tone Tubby's.

Which would get me close to this overdrive tone.  Also i plan to get a 1x12 cab to put the chassis in along with a Eminence Cabbabis Rex 12.

14  Ceriatone / Overtone / New to Ceriatone OTS, which should I get? on: December 07, 2008, 01:16:49 AM
Hello,

I have been reading about the Ceriatone OTS for a while now.  I think this is the amp that I want to get.  I have no experience building amps so I will have to buy one that is put together.  I really want to get the Cab that comes wit the speaker in it.  What are differences between the HRM and the regular OTS?  Also, where is good place to look for a good used one, or is there? All advice is appreciated...
