tele caster and JD0x0 - Yes, a Champ is great, but I'm referring to something to drop straight into a Class 5 amp to replace what's already there.

Too late now, I sold the Class 5, for exactly the reasons jonnymags says.  Smiley

A drop-in, properly handwired amp to replace the cheap internals of the new Class 5 would go down a treat!

Even a kit to upgrade the internals would be nice.
3  Website, Store / Ceriatone.com / How do you say "Ceriatone"? on: January 14, 2009, 06:32:09 AM
Some of my friends say Sa Rire Tone
Some say SareEarTone

Which is right?

Does it matter?

I replaced a 1985 Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ amp with one of these.

The Mesa was so loud as to almost never able to be used in its sweet spot (ie sweet = ear-splitting).

The 36W EF86 is much more workable for me, and just a beautiful sound.

I got to play through this very amp yesterday and was blown away by it, just stunning.

Pulgar liked my Ceriatone 36RP too, gave me a fresh appreciation for Nik's incredible (and incredibly priced) products.
