Where did you order the Dales from?  I like their style.   Grin

There was a big issue about Nik taking info from the AmpGarage site, IIRC.  It was from Dumble # 124 - there were pics posted on AmpGarage a while back.

That .68uf Sozo looks HUGE.

As far as I know, Nik is planning on doing a SLO clone in the future.  Don't take my word for it, but that's just the rumors on the web.

Well, I'm a member over there - does that count?   Tongue

I go by Hiwattage over there, but I'm Weathered here, on HC, and on TGP.

That's a really clean build.  I like it.  I really like those tags on the PT - I hate dealing with stock leads from PT's.

Is that solid core on the heaters, or is that also PTFE?  I've found that solid core tends to stay put really nicely on the heaters, but can be a bear to move around on the signal wires, myself.

This is a very cool forum.  I'll try and help when I can (I'm finishing build #3, and have modded 3-4 amps, and completely gutted and redid my 18W TMB).  I'm always learning, but if I can be of any help to a rookie, I'll do what I can.

Everyone who is really interested in the 18 watt should also think about registering and posting on 18watt.com - there are a lot of really smart builders there, and while this forum is getting its feet under it, there will be a lot of technical resources over there, including layouts and schematics for a lot of 18 watt variants.

I'm toying with the idea of ordering a Ceria chassis and trannies to do a JTM45 build, as I already have a red swirl board waiting at home.  Can I come play, too?   Grin

Trainwreck stuff tends to run right on the edge of where it can, so if you're not familiar with troubleshooting amps (oscillation, weird noises), it can be a bear to get it working right.

The value is there to have it built, but part of the reason I build amps is the actual build process, personally.   Wink
