Nik,
Now you opened the kettle of fish!!!
When will you have the HRM ready to go? and if an OTS order is still a ways out, can it be moved to HRM?

Just causing trouble cause I have a cold and feel like it...

I don't have any experience with the G-Sharp or G-Force, but I'm impressed with TC Electronic's products - very transparent, true bypass, great reverbs and delays.  I would expect the same from the other G-* products.

I like the G-Major installed in the combo amp because there is no extra set up and it sounds great.  I put the lower back panel of the combo cab on hinges so it can be opened to get easy access to the rack unit.  I have a G-minor connected for remote footswitch control of the G-Major.

Thanks for the input Greg. Any chance you have a picture or two? I think I have access to a G-major, and frankly like the thought of the black face on it in keeping with the black of the OTS...

Sweet idea and execution!
What do you think about the differences between the G-Sharp, G-Major and G-Force for this application?

Glad to see you are feeling better....That secret cold recipe of my grandmothers must have done the trick. How many weeks did that cut off my order again?  Wink

Jack,
Second link worked fine for me, first would not.

Most importantly though, Great clip!
I'm assuming that was the OD channel, and maybe your Klienulator in the loop. Can you share anything about the amp settings? PAB, etc?

Thanks as always for your sharing,
JT

Interesting comments on the amp changing as volume goes up. Good to know.

Continuing search for Scholz info found this comment from 3/2007 on Rig-Talk:

Q- "Just curious because I have a BuzzBomb (EarCandy cab-jt) with Swamp Thangs, but do you think the Scholz speakers are worth the $225 Tim charges a piece for the styles of music you play?"

A- "Haven't heard the Swamp Thangs, but compared to my British-made G12H-30s, the Sugarcones are a better fit for my Fuchs TDS. They're very balanced, smooth and musical. Make my .009s sound like .010s or .011s on the high strings, but keep the low end tight and well-defined. The G12H-30s are nice for crunchy chord stuff, but a bit too scooped and thin for the high single-note stuff. They also break up earlier and always have a little grittiness. It's a great sound for certain things, but not what I'm going for with the Fuchs. As for the Scholz's being worth $225, it's a tough call. For my tastes, I'd have to line them up with the Heritage G12-65, EVM-12L Reissue and Eminence RWB to tell for sure. Other folks who've done just that with Dumble-style amps have chosen the Scholz as the winner." - rig-dog

Since I'm getting only lookers here I thought I would add this link from TGP:

http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=190607&page=13

I know it is a long thread (13 pages) but it contains a very descriptive look at the Scholz speaker compared to two of the most popular choices for the OTS and other D-style amps. Really amazing how the performance of the Sholz improves as it breaks in, and other posters findings support the OP. Worth the time it takes to read if you want the best from your OTS. I know I will be ordering one.

26  Ceriatone / Overtone / Scholz speaker for Ceriatone OTS on: April 25, 2008, 09:37:29 PM
All,
I have read a few good things about the Scholz Sugarcone speaker when used with D-clone style amps. Anyone have some input on these?

Care to share the dimensions on your cab and ports?

Interesting changes Bluegate. Can I ask what speaker/cab you are using?
