I thought a SS re-amp is the best?

Ultimate Attenuator ?

Certainly the website could be improved, but much of the info you want is there. Most of the amps are classic circuits whose characteristics (class, wattage, tone etc) are well known for decades. The layouts clearly answer questions about controls, tubes and features. The sound samples are coming along nicely, with fairly frequent updates. I completely don't get the "searchable database." Pictures far exceed most boutique amp sites and clearly support kit builders.

What is the price of a 5F6-A Bassman head in a cabinet?  What about the combo?
What options are available for JTM45 BluesBreaker?

I'm not saying they should take anything away...just there's plenty of room for additions.

Trying to compare prices between 2 items...requires 3 clicks and some scrolling...there isn't a "Price Sheet".

So I made one.  It only has Chassis, Head, and Combo (fully assembled w/tubes)...if anyone wants it, PM me...it makes price shopping A LOT faster.  It's an Excel spreadsheet, with Autosort for Orig Manufacturer, Tube complement (Pre, output, and Rectifier), wattage, and the aforementioned prices.

I shouldn't have to go look at a schematic to determine if I'm looking at a classA or classA/B topology.  I shouldn't have to go look at a layout to see if the amp has a presence knob or a master volume.  Many of the amps show no MV on the layout...but come standard with one, if you ask people that own them.

If anyone has info in a spreadsheet format, I would like to offer my services, and help either compile or extend the information offering here.

I'd like to start with a HUGE THANK YOU TO NIK and KITARIST and ALL OTHERS AFFILIATED WITH CERIATONE!!!!  You are making the world better, and all us semi-poor guitards are thankful!

However...I've asked several questions here, and on other forums, only to be met with "Why don't you email Nik?".

Well, I'm sure Nik is busy, and I'm not 100% positive I'm gonna buy an amp.  I usually have LOTS of questions.  It would be better if Nik or whomever could update the website with new info....this is what I would like to see.

There are several places here that could use some help to aid in usability.  I'll try to make my points as concise as possible.

The website gives NO information about the amplifiers (class, wattage, controls, options...etc...etc...ETC), and even less about the available tones.  I would like a searchable database.  Also, there should be pictures of ALL items for sale.  ESPECIALLY completed construction.

There should be a chart of all available modifications (with price).  Amps down the side with mods on top (price at the intersection)...shouldn't be too hard, and will certainly add clarity to the site.

While I'm glad they're here...

These forums are hopelessly broken into unusable slivers.  With each model having it's own forum, there will be no interaction, and hence, even less information sharing.

IMO, they should be divided into General (Gen Discussion, Off Topic, Introduce Yourself, Suggestions), DIY (building, modding)  Amps ...which should be divided by manu. (Fender, Marshall, Matchless, Boutique) NOT model.  There should also be a guitar-based (Tone Quest...G.A.S.-o-holics...electric guitar) forum.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Thanks for listening.
