Hello everyone,
Have not being here for a very long time, sorry.
Some sweet tones from my OTS 50, 2x12 cab with the Celestion Centuries and Digitech RP200 in the loop.
Hope you enjoy.
Cheers.

Really don't want to know !!!
And personally I think this is F..ng wrong.
We shear mods here and everywhere for free.
Other question is if somebody fiscally modifies your amp and you pay for it, that's OK. But someone wants to make money on my or other people's ideas?
F..K NO !!!

I still LOVE IT,  Grin

I'm glad you like it.
Mod is not necessary as far you happy with an additional foot switch.

Cheers

Hello,

First of all, RP200 modifications are only needed if you want to have amp’s channel and boost switching knobs and LEDs ON THE RP200 itself. Than you need 5pin XLR and additional stereo output jack sockets as well as multicore individually shielded  cable for send, return, channel and boost. See the pic.

Otherwise RP200 works great in the loop with just low capacitance, individually (to avoid crosstalk) and overall shielded stereo cable. You just use your amps footswitch box separately.

Now, you have to remember that when RP200 is switched ON it sets itself on program no.1 and master volume on 33. VERY IMPORTANT that before the gig you always set the master volume on 99 !!!  with this setting your return signal will be unaffected by capacitance to much and volume will be slightly higher (which is good) than loop without the RP200.

RP200 and RP100s are only digitech pedals which can take and handle high output signal from amp’s master even on 6-7 which is very loud, more than gig volume.
I never put my amp’s master higher than 3 and even than everyone complains about volume.

Finally use RP200’s inner EQ to adjust the best tone when all effects are OFF end program them afterwards.
Optimum length of a stereo cable (with 70pfm capacitance between core and shield) is  5m. If you using longer cables, compensate highs with the RP200’s EQ.

Good luck.

Sorry, I'm out. Be with PC in couple of days and I'll explain.
Cheers.

Thiele cab with EV and built in microphones !!! Nothing comes closer.
Scroll down to see the cab construction and listen to the microphone samples.

11  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: V1 NFB mod question on: February 23, 2013, 01:44:44 PM
Hi Captain,
Couple of suggestions: definitely change 150k resistor to 100k or less on X-line after 0,005mf cap. This would open a drive tone and volume.
Reduce drive gain a bit with the trim pot.
If you increase X-line’s 0,005mf cap to 0,01mf, drive will have more bass on it but try first above mod without cap change.
Also, if you increase big filter cap’s capacitance (add more capacitors) it will tighten amps overall bass response a little bit.
Cheers.
12  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Incoming voltage on: February 22, 2013, 01:27:43 PM
That’s why all my amps have a 230v power transformers which gives me little bit more volts (in UK) and better tone. Believe me some extra volts won’t blow a trany,  especially when they are fan cooled.

Yes, it’s a good idea to get a power conditioner/regulator as well.

Cheers

Hi Guitar,
I’m glad that you are happier with your tone now.
Best wishes   Smiley
14  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Should a fender based circuit "amp of the gods" not sound awesome? on: February 04, 2013, 09:18:38 PM
why do you feel the need to insult owners of D style amps who are very happy with them?

1000+ Ceriatone, Bludotone, Fuchs, Two Rock, Red Plate and other amp users are very happy with their tone.
Must be something wrong with your amp!
Be cool.

Thank you Guitar…,

Try Celestion G12 K 100, it has big lows and nice mid/high tone. It is not expensive as well.

Good luck
